Fans of the long-running daytime drama "Days Of Our Lives" get ready to start your on-line campaigns. The popular soap opera has been on TV since 1965, but now things are up in the air for the show.

According to CNBC, NBC has announced that "Days" will be going on an indefinite hiatus and the entire cast has been released from their contracts. The soap will air its 55th season on NBC--and while they're saying the show is NOT cancelled, execs are still deciding on season 56.

If you're a fan of the show, you'll still get your daily dose of drama because they reportedly have 8-months of episodes already filmed, so that gives us plenty of time to launch our petitions to keep the show on.
