Celebrate the Fourth of July in a big way!

For metro Detroiters looking to celebrate the Fourth of July, there are plenty of opportunities for family fun and fireworks within just a short drive from home. 

Below is a list of events going on around your area:

June 28

  • St. Clair Shores - Veterans Memorial Park: The price is $2 in advance for a resident, $3 in advance for a non-resident. The cost at the gate is $3 per person. In the case of rain on that day, the fireworks rain out date will be Saturday, June 29, 2019.
  • Mt Clemens - Clinton Riverfront Park (4125 Riverview Cir, Mt Clemens, MI 48043). The fireworks will be launched at Dusk (approximately 10 p.m.). Prime viewing is located throughout Downtown Mount Clemens with the fireworks being launched from the City Hall parking lot on First Street. 

June 29

  • Grosse Pointe Farms Regatta And Fireworks - 10 p.m. at 350 Lakeshore Drive, Pier Park, Grosse Point Farms, MI 48236
  • Highland - Highland’s Red White & Blues Fireworks Festival: Old Highland Middle School Location (N John St and M-59. One Block West of Milford Rd). 
  • Lake Orion - The 2019 Lake Orion Independence Day Fireworks show will be on Saturday, June 29th with a rain date scheduled for Sunday, June 30th.
  • Port Huron/Fort Gratiot - Bluewater Cruise Weekend on June 29: Fireworks begin at 10 p.m. Viewing along 24th Ave.
  • Romulus - Community Fireworks at Romulus Middle School and Wick Elementary, Romulus, MI 48174 at Dusk
  • Taylor - Taylor Summer Festival: 12111 Pardee Road Heritage Park, Taylor, MI 48180. Fireworks display scheduled for approximately 10 p.m. In the case of rain on that day, the fireworks rain out date will be Saturday, June 29, 2019.
  • Van Buren Township - Show starts at dusk at Beck Ballfields.
  • White Lake -  White Lake Citizens League Fireworks: Fireworks will be launched from 2 barges located near the southern end of White Lake. 

June 30

  • Livonia Spree - Fireworks begin at dusk (approximately 10:15 pm). 14281 Farmington Ford Field, Livonia, MI 48154
  • Madison Heights - Festival in the Park: Fireworks start at 10 p.m. at Madison Heights Civic Center park.

July 3

  • Shelby Township - The fireworks will be visible throughout the Shelby Township DDA Van Dyke corridor beginning at 10 p.m. The township will host families at Ford Field Central Park at 7460 23 Mile Road.

July 4

  • Clawson - City Park (W Elmwood north to Park, N. Washington west to N Bywood, Clawson, MI). Fireworks cap off the Independence Day parade, carnival, and annual 4th of July Clawson tradition. Fireworks start at dusk. 
  • Clarkston -  Independence Fest 2019 Fireworks: Clintonwood Park (6000 Clarkston Road, Clarkson, MI 48348). Fireworks close out night one of Independence Fest at Clintonwood Park. Rain Date is July 5.
  • Huntington Woods -  Rackham Golf Course Fireworks: Rackham Golf Course (10100 W 10 Mile Road, Huntington Woods, Michigan 48070). Rackham Golf Course hosts 4th of July fireworks at 10p. 
  • Holly - Lakeside Memorial Park (315 S Broad St, Holly, MI, 48442). The Village of Holly will be having their fireworks show at 10p

July 6

  • Inkster - Summer Fest: The Fireworks will take place on the second day of the City’s Annual Summer Music Fest at dusk. Old City of Inkster Civic Center, Inkster, MI 48141
  • Waterford Township - Residents around Maceday Lake and Lotus Lake in Waterford Twp can watch fireworks at dusk. Rain Date is July 7.
  • Whitmore Lake - Main Street, Whitmore Lake, MI 48189. Fireworks begin at 9:55 p.m.

July 10

  • Clinton Township - Clinton Township Gazebo (Civic Center): Fireworks begin at dusk.

July 12

  • Woodhaven - Uncle Sam Jam: The show begins Friday Night at dusk and can be seen anywhere inside the festival grounds.

Multi-date fireworks 

  • Dearborn - Salute to America at Greenfield Village: Fireworks light up the sky at Greenfield Village from July 3 to July 6. Gates open 6:00 pm
  • Huron-Clinton Metroparks - All fireworks will begin at dusk.
    • Stony Creek Metropark – Sunday, June 30, 2019
    • Willow Metropark – Monday, July 1, 2019
    • Hudson Mills Metropark – Tuesday, July 2, 2019
    • Lake Erie Metropark – Wednesday, July 3, 2019
